How to Prevent & Overcome Burnout

Let’s be honest: Stress is an unavoidable part of the modern workplace. It surrounds us all day, every day. And if we’re not careful, it can quickly consume us. When we fail to properly manage stress over a prolonged period of time, it can eventually lead to burnout.

Burnout is a state of extreme mental, physical, emotional and/or social exhaustion. But it also goes deeper than that. When you’re suffering from burnout, you may feel a loss of purpose or a constant sense of helplessness, overwhelm, disillusionment or dread. It can look and feel different for different people. But one thing remains the same: If you’re feeling burned out or concerned that you’re approaching a state of burnout, it’s time to make some serious life changes…fast.

As someone who has experienced burnout—and the long, painful period of recovery required to overcome it—I can personally attest to the fact that burnout is no joke. Once you hit a certain point-of-no-return, your health really is in danger. You can’t ignore it and you can’t “power” through it. You just have to stop. The consequences of burnout can create a ripple impact on your career for years to come.

The far better approach is to prevent burnout from happening in the first place. Don’t wait for something dramatic to happen. Instead, take proactive steps now to create appropriate limits in the workplace and manage stress in healthy ways.

In this month’s webinar, you’ll learn simple strategies to do just that. Plus, should you find that you’re already experiencing signs and symptoms of burnout, you’ll learn how to recover and get yourself back on track quickly. This is one webinar everyone should attend!
