LinkedIn recently introduced a new feature that allows you to privately signal to recruiters that you’re open to new job opportunities. It’s called “Open Candidates” and it’s accessible in the “Preferences” tab on the LinkedIn Jobs home page.
Glassdoor also just introduced a new capability called “Know Your Worth”. It’s designed to help you determine if you’re being underpaid. It asks for your job title, employer, current salary and years of relevant work experience. It then calculates your estimated market worth. It might be an interesting tool for salary negotiations.
